Nob Hill
Nob Hill is a historic, upscale neighborhood in San Francisco located between Pacific Heights, Russian Hill, Chinatown, and the Financial District. Originally known as "California Hill," it was renamed in the 1850s after the "Big Four" railroad barons (Leland Stanford, Mark Hopkins, Collis Huntington, and Charles Crocker), often referred to as the "Nobs," who built their lavish mansions there.
